Zak Vinter Squad: Delancey British Alpine U18 Squad Y.O.B: 1998 Club: Glasgow Ski Racing, European Development & Excellence Programme Zak Vinter FIS Zak Vinter @zak_vinter @zakvinter Career Highlights: Selection - European Youth Olympic Festival, LIE, 2015 1st - Overall British Children's Champion, 2014 3rd - Youth International Race U14 Slalom, CZE, 2011 Zak has been skiing since the age of 2 at the Glasgow Ski Centre. He was taught how to ski by his parents who are both ski instructors and has continued to be coached by his father until the age of 15. By the age of 6 Zak had made his way into the Glasgow Ski Racing Team and has been training there ever since. He then progressed to a national level by racing abroad. This allowed him to gain a position on the British Children's Ski Team at the age of 11 and he has remained on the team for the passed 6 years. This year Zak will be skiing in Italy with EDEP as a full time athlete after recently leaving school. He hopes this will allow him to make major progress in the coming year. His goals are to represent Great Britain at the Youth Winter Olympics in 2016 and to retain his place on the Delancey British Ski Team.
