Alanah learnt to ski at age six at her local dry slope Hillend, Edinburgh. She developed through the regional and national circuits on artificial and indoor events. Then, at age twelve, she ventured onto snow, training abroad with FAST (Focused Alpine Scottish Ski Training), BSA and at Austrian racing camps, and attending many races in France, Italy and Scotland as a children's racer.

Now from season 2015/16, Alannah is entering her first year of FIS, and has joined Team Evolution, where she is now working alongside numerous other national team athletes. Training is now mainly in Austria, where she is learning many new skills on and off the slopes.

It’s exciting times ahead, and she can't wait to see what the future holds. Alannah's goals are to compete at the European Youth Olympic Games and to ski under 100 FIS points in three disciplines.
