Yasmin started skiing at the age of 6 on a family holiday in Chamonix. Her first alpine training took place at Southampton dry slope, and then she attended British Ski Academy and Martin Bell Camps and started competing in regional races on indoor and dry slopes. This led her onto other camps and national races on snow, including the British Championships as an Under 10.

In Yasmin’s first snow race she was selected as a member of the Great British Children’s Ski Team, and has been selected every year since. She was also selected to compete at Trofeo Topolino, which is the most prestigious of Children's International Races.

Last year Yasmin attended the Youth Olympics as the only female British alpine skier, and had the best results achieved in alpine skiing of any British athlete at the Youth Olympics. She is the current U18 Overall British Champion, as well as the U21 British Female Downhill Champion.

This season Yasmin aims to lower her FIS points across all disciplines and retain any British Titles in 2017, hope to compete in the Junior World Championships in Sweden, and will strive towards her goal of competing in the Senior Olympics in PyeongChang 2018.
