Matt is from Glasgow, Scotland and has been riding for 6 years at his local dryslope (Bearsden Ski Club) and indoor slope (Snow Factor) as well as traveling across Europe with the team to train.  Matt has come up through the ranks from GB Junior Team to Elite Junior Team and after a successful 2011/2012 season Matt was then moved into the senior snowboard team allowing him to travel and train as part of the full team. He took full advantage of this opportunity and focused on training as much as possible with the team throughout the 2012/13 season.

In the coming season he is looking to get as much out of his trips to Europe as possible combined with lots of dry land training in Scotland over the summer months. After he leaves school, Matt plans to train and travel with the British team and compete on the World Snowboard Tour and FIS circuit.  Outside of snowboarding, Matt is into skateboarding and gymnastics.
